CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> ORDINANCE 2001-002 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SIGNS; AM-ENDING <br /> SECTION 1400.04, SECTION 1400.07, SUBD. 16 AND SECTION <br /> 1400.12, SUED. 4 OF THE ST. ANTHONY CITY CODE <br /> The City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby ordains: <br /> Section 1. Section 1400.04 of the St. Anthony City Code, shall be amended to add a new <br /> subdivision 37 as follows: <br /> Subd. 37. Illuminated Governmental Informational_Sign. Any illuminated sign,_ <br /> that is a ground sign and which is owned by a governmental unit for the purpose <br /> of providing public information. <br /> Section 2. Section 1400.07, Subd. 16 of the St_ Anthony City Code shall be amended to read <br /> as follows: <br /> Subd. 16. Flashing Signs. Flashing signs except any portion giving time, <br /> temperature or weather, or that qualifies as an illuminated government <br /> informational sign. <br /> Section 3. Section 1400.12, Subd. 4 of the St. Anthony City Code shall be amended to read <br /> as follows: <br /> Subd. 4. Recreational Open Space. The following signs are permitted in a <br /> Recreational Open Space District and may be erected after obtaining a permit and <br /> paying required license fee. <br /> (1) Subject to approval of the Council,only ground and wall signs are <br /> allowed in this district. The ground sign may have a sign surface <br /> area not to exceed 150 square feet, and if such ground sign is an <br /> illuminated governmental informational sign, such sign may not be <br /> illuminated between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and.6:00 a.m- and the <br /> informational message on such sign may not contain any flashing <br /> _ lights or change its public information message more than twice <br /> during any day. <br /> Section 4.
