Childs, City Manager <br /> ------------------------7------------------------------------------------ <br /> SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT: Attached .i is the sales summary for the months of <br /> January - April for the Liquor Operation. Combined sales are down nearly <br /> $22,000 in the first four months. Most of the decline is the result of a 13.5% <br /> drop in sales at the on-sale operation at the Stonehouse. As you may note, the <br /> Speakeasy is up 27.6% for the period and both operations at Apache are up from <br /> last year. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: The good news is that according to preliminary figures, even <br /> though combined sales for January, February and March are down by about $16,800 <br /> compared with 1981 , the net profit is up ap.proximately $6 ,000 to about $99,000 for <br /> the first quarter. The full quarterly report will be available at the next meeting , <br /> but this definitely-shows that our profitability was up sharply over the 1st quarter <br /> of last year even in light of lower sales figures.
