Childs, City Manager <br /> ------------------7----------------------------------------------------- <br /> SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT: The bids for a cooler for the new warehouse <br /> liquor operation in the Shopping Center on Harding Street will be opened on <br /> September 26th and will be presented to the Council on the 27th for award. We <br /> expect the cost for the 60' cooler as recommended by the Liquor Operations Manager <br /> to be about $40,000. This cooler can be moved to any future facility the City may <br /> operate. The sum of all other costs for opening the new facility should be much <br /> less than the cost of the cooler, but current marketing strategies dictate the <br /> importance of cold beer and wine to be competitive. Delivery will take 4 to 6 <br /> weeks, based on current information. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> ALTERNATIVES : <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Bid tabulations and recommendations wi l l be presented at the <br /> meeting, or wi be available sometime the day of the meeting. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REVIEW: COMMENTS : <br />
