Childs, City Manager <br /> SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT: The 1984 budget as of September 23, 1983 <br /> contains only one change as recommended by the Council in the Water Department <br /> Budget where certain repairs will be deferred for the time being. The tax levy <br /> i of $727,500 is below the levy limit and represents a 4.8% increase from 1983. <br /> The attached news article is an accurate summary of the budget , except that the <br /> increase in valuation for Ramsey County (and thus taxes) will be greater than <br /> Hennepin. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> ALTERNATIVES : <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Recommend adoption of budget and tax levy per attached resolu- <br /> tion.
