ANTHONY <br /> ORDINANCE 1983-006 <br /> j AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CONTRACTORS LICENSES, AMENDING <br /> SECTION 400:00 OF THE 1973 CODE OF ORDINANCES <br /> BY ADDING A SECTION <br /> The_ City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby ordains as follows: <br /> Section 1 . Chapter IV, Business Regulations and Licenses of the 1973 Code <br /> of Ordinances, i.s amended to add Section 465:00, to read as follows:; <br /> i <br /> Section 465:00. No person shall perform work in the City of St. Anthony as a <br /> contractor involved- in building construction, alterations, o-r remodeling or any <br /> work for -which a work permit is required by this Code, without a license issued <br /> pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. <br /> Section 465: 10 Licenses shall be- required for but not limited to each of the <br /> i below-named trades and construction work: <br /> I <br /> (a) General contractors, including erection, alteration or repair <br /> of building. <br /> (b) Masonry, cement work, cement block work, block laying , or <br /> brick work. <br /> •_ (c)..- Roofing. ! <br /> (.d) Plastering, stucco work, sheet rock taping. <br /> (e) Excavations , including excavations for footings , basements <br /> and grading of lots, etc. <br /> (f) Moving and wrecking of buildings. <br /> (g) Blacktopping of driveways, parking lots, etc. <br /> (h) Sign erection, construction and repairs, including billboards <br /> and electrical signs. <br /> Section 465: 15 Applications for a license under this section shall be submitted to <br /> the City Clerk and shall include such evidence of competency as may be required by <br /> the Council . <br /> (a) Evidence of qualifications established before any agency of <br /> the State of Minnesota shall be prima facie evidence of com- <br /> petency under this section. <br /> (b) Whenever an agency of the State of Minnesota imposes licensing <br /> or. registration requirements for any trade licensed under <br /> this" 'section, proof -of satisfaction of all state requirements <br /> shall be .provided with the license application. <br />
