• MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: August 19 , 1987 <br /> TO: David Childs, City Manager <br /> Department Heads <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin <br /> ITEM: STAFF MEETING NOTES - AUGUST 18 , 1987 <br /> The meeting began at 10 : 10 A.M. Those .present were Carol <br /> Johnson, Connie Kroeplin, Lee Entner., Larry Hamer, Ray_ Nelson, <br /> and Dave Childs. Don Hickerson was absent. <br /> Ray Nelson <br /> 1 . Reported on the construction at the Stonehouse. The glass <br /> for the seating area will be delivered on August 19th. <br /> They expect to lay carpet in the on-sale within 7 - 10 days. <br /> There is a short delay on the off-sale portion until the <br /> steel for that portion is delivered (hopefully by the 21st) . <br /> Mr. Nelson said he has received many compliments on the work <br /> that has been done. <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1 . The elevation of the front parking lot of the Stonehouse <br /> will need to be changed to be compatible with the construc- <br /> tion and the Public Works crews will be completing this <br /> work. Plans to plant shrubs, etc. to improve the site <br /> aesthetically are being made. <br /> 2 . With the exception of 3 alleys, sealcoating and sweeping <br /> are complete. The alleys will be done if. time permits. <br /> 3 . The tennis courts are being resurfaced. The two most <br /> easterly courts are almost done. Completion of this pro-_ <br /> ject will depend on the ,weather. <br /> 4 . Work is continuing on the Wilson Street watermain. <br /> 5 . The following actions are in the "study" stage relating to <br /> the City' s drainage problems: <br /> a . Quotes are being .sought from Short-Elliott-Hendrickson <br /> -- and Reike Carroll Muller for a feasibility study on the <br /> City' s storm sewers .- <br /> b. An engineer ,is studying the spillway (going in) at <br /> the Mirror Lake retention basin. Dredging is also <br /> possibly needed. <br />
