1 Motion carried unanimously. . • <br /> 2 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 3 Ordinance -Required to Raise .Mavor and Councilmembers ' Salaries <br /> 4 In his October 22nd memorandum, the City Manager reported that $30 . a. <br /> 5 month raises had- been approved and budgeted for the previous fall . <br /> 6 based on a review of comparable Metropolitan cities of the same size <br /> 7 as St. -Anthony. , However, state law mandated the increases could not <br /> 8 become effective until after the November, 1987 City elections . Mr. <br /> 9 Childs also indicated the - City Ordinance needed to. be amended to. <br /> 10 provide for the raises .
