The 1987 Congress of <br /> Cities will be .held in Las Vegas., Nevada on December 12-16, 1987. <br /> The Congressional-City Conference, held in March in Washington, - D.C. each <br /> year, provides detailed briefings on federal legislation affecting E <br /> municipalities and gives local officials an opportunity to call on their <br /> -Congressional representatives in person. <br /> Throughout the year. NLC also conducts a wide range of smaller,- regional --- ` <br /> meetings on topics of interest to municipal officials, such as local economic i <br /> development, telecommunications, municipal finance, public safety, -and i <br /> international trade: <br /> SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP CAUCUSES? AFFILIATE GROUPS? <br /> NLC's special membership caucuses --Women in Municipal Government, the <br /> National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials, the Hispanic Elected Local, <br /> Officials, and the Asian/Pacific American.Municipal Officials -- work to -make <br /> sure that local. government represents all segments of our society.
