Childs, City Manager <br /> ITEM : PURCHASE OF CHAIRS FOR COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> One issue facing the City of St. Anthony with the acquisition of the <br /> SAV Community Center building is a shortage of chairs for various <br /> events in the building. Previously, the School District had chairs <br /> available- for the -building, but they will -be transferring them to the <br /> High School/Middle School complex in• the near future. <br /> Needs for chairs include the City Council Chambers, Civic Orchestra, <br /> Sports Booster events, Senior Citizens, and other events taking place <br /> in the building. It is felt that 100 chairs (and 2 caddies) for the <br /> building and 40 chairs for the Council ' Chambers should be sufficient. <br /> The Council Chamber folding chairs would be permanently left there <br /> and the other„ 100 chairs would be moved between the various rooms in <br /> the building. <br /> Quotes on chairs include the three shown on the attached proposal. <br /> Chairs would be labeled to show City ownership, so that they wouldn't <br /> start disappearing to other locations right away. <br /> I recommend the State of Minnesota contract for the Krueger chairs <br /> based on inspection of the chairs prior to ordering to insure <br /> adequate quality. <br /> :cjk10. 11. 88 <br />
