Hydraulic Hammer <br /> 12 <br /> 13 The Mayor observed that the equipment in the low bid was <br /> 14 a "demo . " The City Manager advised that the Public Works <br /> 15 Director is confident this piece of equipment will be <br /> 16 satisfactory. He also advised that low bid not need to be <br /> 17 taken for any purchase up to $25, 000 . . <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Councilmember Enrooth observed that the bids had a wide <br /> 20 spread for their trade-in allowance. The City Manager had <br /> 21 no explanation for this but credited it to the methods <br /> 22 used for mark ups and discounts by the bidders . <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Motion by Marks , second by Wagner to approve the low bid <br /> 25 of $8 , 352 . 00 plus tax from Long Lake for the purchase of <br /> 26 a Model S25 hydraulic hammer . <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 2 . Lowry Grove Improvements - Well Capping <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Federal Cartrage had requested the City seek bids to cap <br /> 35 the existing well located near Lowry Grove Trailer Court . <br /> 36 The City will receive 100% compensation for this work . <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to approve the bid in <br /> 39 the amount of $5,480 . 00 to Water Products for capping the <br /> 40 well in the Lowry Grove Improvement Project . <br /> 41 <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 44 <br /> 45 <br /> 46 The City Manager advised that the Keys Company trucks are <br /> 47 located at the wells on Rankin Road and near Rosie' s <br /> 48 Restaurant . The work on Rankin Road will be completed in <br /> 49 about one month. The City Manager will send a letter to <br /> 50 residents in the area advising them of this timeline . <br />
