(Combat Auto Theft ) is a new program to be <br /> 12 introduced into St . Anthony. This program focuses on vehicles <br /> 13 being used between the hours of 1 :00 a.m. and 5: 00 a.m. It has <br /> 14 proven very succssful in stemming auto thefts in some <br /> 15 neighboring communities . Honeywell has offered to underwrite <br /> 16 the costs associated with this program. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Mayor Ranallo inquired if funding from Honeywell could be used <br /> 19 for any other projects in the Police Department . <br /> 20 <br /> 21 The Chief is meeting with representatives of Honeywell on <br /> 22 August 19th regarding the funding and his "wish list" for some <br /> 23 equipment . he would like for the Department . <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Chief Engstrom feels that a great deal of public relations and <br /> 26 publicity will be needed to guarantee a good attendance at the <br /> Town Meeting which will be held late in September . He will use <br /> the local access cable channel , newspapers and church <br /> 29 bulletins . He recalled that previous meetings hosted by the <br /> 30 Police Department had generated rather slim attendance. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 8 . Ordinance No. 1993-009; Re: Water Meter Charaes (First <br /> 39 Readina) <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Motion by Wagner, second by Ranallo to approve the first <br /> 42 reading of Ordinance No. 1993-009 being an ordinance relating <br /> 43 - to water meter charges ; amending Sections 610 : 08 and 615: 07 of <br /> 44 the 1993 St . Anthony Code of Ordinances . <br /> 45 <br /> 46 The City Manager advised that the fees were formerly called <br /> 47 "deposits" but were corrected to "charges" as there was no <br /> 48 interest paid on these fees . <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Motion carried unanimously <br />
