Ms. Luther agreed that she had not been to 3009 Silver Lake Road since <br /> 3 1995 and she recommended that she return to the property to reassess the valuation <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Motion by Marks, seconded by Faust, for Ms. Luther to reassess the property at 3009 Silver <br /> 6 Lake Road. <br /> 7 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Ms. Luther reported on a letter that she received from James Renckens, 4680 Forestview <br /> 10 Lane, Plymouth, Minnesota, protesting the valuation of his mother's home located at 3208 <br /> 11 Townview. Ms. Luther indicated that she recently inspected the property and recommends no <br /> 12 change. She also indicated that she had received a call from Mr. Renckens at 4:00 p.m. again <br /> 13 disagreeing with her valuation. She said that she advised him of his right to appeal the value. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Motion by Marks, seconded by Cavanaugh, for Ms. Luther to review the file. <br /> 16 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Ms. Luther reported on a letter that she received from John Kuharski, 2709 Pahl Avenue N.E., <br /> 19 protesting the valuation of his property because he feels there is a negative stigma attached to <br /> 20 his property due to flooding that occurred as the result of the 1997 summer storms. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Motion by Marks, seconded by Faust, for Ms. Luther to notify Mr. Kuharski that he should <br /> 23 proceed with his appeal to the County Board of Equalization. <br /> 24 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> .25 <br /> 26 Ms: Luther reported that people do know of the flooding problems in St. Anthony and despite <br /> 27 that, she believes that Mr. Kuharski's property would sell for $159,000. She said that homes <br /> 28 in the area have sold very well, usually more than the valuation placed on the property. She <br /> 29 also said that homes that are for sale in St. Anthony rarely stay on the market for more than 4 <br /> 30 - 5 days. She reported that she has not noticed that flooding has been a detriment to any home <br /> 31 sale in the area and that the home next to Mr. Kuharski recently sold for $131,000. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 IV. ADJOURNMENT. <br /> 34 Motion by Marks, seconded by Cavanaugh, to close the local Board of Review but to <br /> 35 reconvene on April 13, 1999, before the regularly scheduled City Council meeting. <br /> 36 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 <br /> 3 <br />
