I am a resident of St. Anthony Village and have been since October of <br /> 1993. I am the mother of two children attending Wilshire Park School and I have a background in <br /> Recreation. It is these interests which have lead me to pursue this opportunity to represent St. <br /> Anthony as a Parks Commissioner. <br /> I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic <br /> Recreation. Currently I am employed as a Recreational Therapist at Sister Kenny Institute <br /> working with patients who have physical disabilities. Prior to this I was employed as the Activity <br /> Director at Chandler Place here in St. Anthony. Additional background in the area of recreation <br /> includes summer employment for New Brighton Park and Recreation and membership in the <br /> Minnesota Recreation and Park Association with a seat on the Therapeutic Recreation Board. <br /> My background in recreation, my work with the disabled community, as well as seniors locally, <br /> and my interest in children have motivated me to be an active participant in continuing to improve <br /> the city of St. Anthony and its park system. <br /> I hope you will consider me for this appointment and I look forward to hearing from you in the <br /> near future. <br /> Respectfully, <br /> Julie M.
