Legislative Update • <br /> October 11 , 1999 <br /> Finally,,we received 261 surveys about local cable and <br /> telecommunications regulation.. We will present a summary of those results at <br /> the MACTA membership meeting on Thursday, October 14. <br /> Now, what can you do? We need your help to contact state <br /> legislators, most of whom are not yet at the Capitol on a regular basis. Working <br /> with Wy Spano and Sarah Janacek, we have prepared a one-page summary of <br /> our legislative position that your city council members can use as talking points, <br /> as well as a sample resolution we hope your city council will adopt and send to. <br /> your state legislators. And, if your city has not yet contributed or pledged its <br /> financial support of our legislative effort, please consider doing so soon. <br /> • Page 2 <br />
