Use of the facility continued: <br /> Sister City meetings Kiwanis Pancake Chili Contest / <br /> Crime Prevention Breakfasts Chamber of <br /> Coalition meetings Orchestra Concerts Commerce <br /> Various meetings Volunteer Dinners <br /> involving City Staff <br /> Work of the Committee: <br /> The consultant and Committee generated many ideas about how to solve the problems: <br /> • install large and attractive signage <br /> • add pronounced landscaping <br /> • renaming of the building <br /> • build a canopy over the front doors which would dramatically improve the entrance <br /> • increase sound control <br /> • provide a community information bulletin board <br /> • eliminate the brick overhang in front of the entrance <br /> • build a permanent place for room schedules <br /> • construct monument sign <br /> y <br /> • increase seating inside and outside <br /> • clearly mark entrances to rooms <br /> • install rugs <br /> • add wall treatments to-warm the looks and improve acoustics <br /> • build a kiosk with seating <br /> • open up city offices <br /> • minimize the wall by the bathrooms <br /> • better mark Police hall and entrance <br /> • add the St. Anthony logo as a back drop to the Council chambers dais <br /> • improve the fagade by adding decorative cornerstones <br /> After coming to agreement on which improvements to put in place, cost estimates were drawn up <br /> by the consultant. To keep budgeting manageable, improvements will be phased over a three <br /> year period at a cost of$50,000 each year.
