Use of the facility continued: Sister City meetings Kiwanis Pancake Chili Contest / Crime Prevention Breakfasts Chamber of Coalition meetings Orchestra Concerts Commerce Various meetings Volunteer Dinners involving City Staff Work of the Committee: The consultant and Committee generated many ideas about how to solve the problems: • install large and attractive signage • add pronounced landscaping • renaming of the building • build a canopy over the front doors which would dramatically improve the entrance • increase sound control • provide a community information bulletin board • eliminate the brick overhang in front of the entrance • build a permanent place for room schedules • construct monument sign y • increase seating inside and outside • clearly mark entrances to rooms • install rugs • add wall treatments to-warm the looks and improve acoustics • build a kiosk with seating • open up city offices • minimize the wall by the bathrooms • better mark Police hall and entrance • add the St. Anthony logo as a back drop to the Council chambers dais • improve the fagade by adding decorative cornerstones After coming to agreement on which improvements to put in place, cost estimates were drawn up by the consultant. To keep budgeting manageable, improvements will be phased over a three year period at a cost of$50,000 each year. The committee agreed on the order of changes based on a balance desire to improve the interior and exterior simultaneously.
