I am requesting a Variance due to the"undue
hil; 'of the zoning code that requires at least
a sie.. 'clearance back from the property line if
a Central Air Conditioning("AC.")unit is to be
installed.
2. Undue hardship exists due to the placement of my
house(back part of house built around 1920 and
front addition built around 1950)only four feet
from the property line on the east. This difficulty
was created by the builder of the home(1920?) 3
and/or the drawing up of property lines(when?). W s
The property abstract of my house has names and
dates that go back to 1853. Lv
3. The location of the AC.unit to be installed is Q
requested by a variance to be outside my basement
window where the furnace rests in the basement.
Proposed location is to be the bush closest to the VN
basement window(see above). `G
4. Undue hardship also exists if unit were to be o
placed in the extreme N.E. comer of my lot as the
space there is approx• 9ft.x 9ft.. Considering the e'J
A.C. unit must be at least one foot from the
structure(according to the contractor)and the
proposed A.C.unit to be installed will rest on a
2ft.x 3ft.base,I still would be in violation. An
additional reason for hardship would exist if the
unit could be squeezed in this space because 25
feet of tubing and electrical pipe would have to be
run outside of the house to the basement window.
This would have to be done due to the need to drill
a hole in the limestone slabs that make up my
foundation in that part of my house.
30t'-I4v.
