• PROPOSED <br /> Section 1306 - POINT-OF-SALE HOUSING EVALUATIONS. <br /> 1306.01 Purpose. The purpose of this Section of the City Code is to enhance the <br /> supply of safe, sanitary and adequate housing and to prevent the deterioration of the <br /> overall housing stock in the City of St. Anthony, thereby protecting the general health, <br /> safety, and welfare of the residents. <br /> 1306.02 Definitions. The following words and terms, when used in this Section shall <br /> have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: <br /> Subd. 1. Dwelling and Dwelling Unit. A building or portion thereof, designed <br /> or used predominantly for residential occupancy of a continued nature, including <br /> 1-family dwellings, 2-family dwellings, apartment buildings, and rooming units, <br /> but excluding hotels and motels. <br /> Subd. 2. Dwelling, Multiple. A building with two or more living units in <br /> common ownership, one or more of which is rented or available for rent, but <br /> excluding hotels, motels, hospitals, nursing homes, and homes for the aged. <br /> • Subd. 3. Dwelling, Single-Family. A dwelling designed to accommodate one <br /> family. <br /> Subd. 4. Dwelling, Two-Family. A dwelling designed to accommodate two <br /> families in separate dwelling units, each unit with its own means of access. <br /> Subd. 5. Evaluation Report. A written report prepared and signed by a private <br /> housing inspector licensed by the City of St. Anthony on a form in compliance <br /> with Section 1306.03 of this Code. <br /> Subd. 6. Hardship. The inability of the seller to make the required repairs, <br /> including but not limited to economic circumstances, illness, death, weather, or <br /> other unforeseen events. <br /> Subd. 7. Immediate Hazard. A condition or defect which is likely to cause <br /> injury to a person or property if not corrected. <br /> Subd. 8. Licensing Requirements. A private housing inspector contracted to do <br /> business in the City of St. Anthony must first comply with licensing <br /> requirements as stated in Section 500 of the City Code. <br />
