Building-entrance door latches shall be of a type that are <br /> permanently locked from the outside and permanently unlocked from the <br /> ® inside. <br /> 3.353(6) (b) Dwelling Unit Door Locks. Every door that is designed to provide ingress <br /> or egress for a dwelling unit within a multiple family building shall be <br /> equipped with an approved lock that has a dead-locking bolt that cannot be <br /> retracted by end pressure, provided, however, that'such door shall-be <br /> openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge <br /> or effect. <br /> 3.353(7) Removal of Basic Equipment or Facilities. No owner,operator,or occupant shall <br /> cause any facility or equipment which is required under this Code,to be removed <br /> from or shut off from any occupied dwelling unit let or occupied by him, except <br /> for such temporary interruptions as may be necessary while actual repairs or <br /> alterations are in process, or during temporary emergencies. <br /> 3.354 Minimum Interior Standards for Non-Residential Facilities. <br /> 3.354(1) Toilets and Lavatories. Every non-residential facility regularly used or occupied <br /> by persons shall be provided with toilet and lavatory facilities as further provided <br /> in this subsection except that small buildings(not over 150 feet square)used for <br /> shelter in connection with the operation of parking lots, storage lots, kiosks, <br /> watchman stations, and similar uses shall not be required to have such facilities <br /> if such facilities are conveniently available to workers using such buildings and <br /> are so used at all times. <br /> 3.354(1) (a) Compliance with Building Code. Toilet and lavatory facilities shall be <br /> provided according to Sections 3.20 through 3.223, except that separate <br /> facilities for the sexes may not be required in establishments occupied by five <br /> or less persons of both sexes taken together and where"said facilities are not <br /> used by the public. Such facilities shall be located in a space completely <br /> enclosed by partitions and self-closing doors separating them from any other <br /> room or space. Such toilet rooms shall be provided with adequate light and <br /> ventilation. <br /> 3.354(1) (b) Sanitation. All toilet facilities and toilet rooms shall be kept neat and clean <br /> at all times. The toilet room walls and ceiling shall be provided with a <br /> smooth surface and where paint is used as the surface coating it must be <br /> maintained and painted as is necessary for cleanliness. Floors in such rooms <br /> must be of non-absorbent materials such as concrete, brick tile, vinyl or <br /> asphalt tile, or similar surface material. <br /> 3.354(1) (c) Accessories Required. Toilet paper shall be provided with each toilet <br /> facility. Soap shall be provided with each lavatory. Individual towels or <br /> other means of drying shall be provided for lavatories. No common towel <br /> shall be used. <br /> 3.354(2) Supplied Drinking Fountains. All drinking fountains provided shall comply with <br /> the provisions set forth in Sections 3.20 through 3.223. <br /> 3.354 (3) Interior Storage.
