• MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: December 30 , 1981 <br /> TO: Dave Childs , City Manager <br /> Department Heads <br /> Ron Berg, Administrative Assistant <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin , Secretary <br /> SUBJECT: Notes on December 30 , 1981 Staff Meeting <br /> -------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> The meeting commenced at 9.: 40 A.M. Department Heads Johnson, <br /> Entner, Hickerson and Nelson were present along with Dave Childs , <br /> Ron Berg and Connie Kroeplin. Larry Hamer was absent. <br /> The meeting .opened with a brief discussion on the Christmas party <br /> which everyone present felt was a success . <br /> Ron Berg then asked for items for the Newsletter to be to him by <br /> January 8th. There was also a discussion on the Section 8 Program <br /> in St. Anthony which is presently being done, by Mr. Berg. He has <br /> prepared a memo on that subject to be presented at the January 5th <br /> Council meeting. <br /> • Lee Entner briefly summarized the medicals over the holiday weekend, <br /> especially noting assistance from both the Fire and .Police Depart- <br /> ments was very good. <br /> Don Hickerson reported he has discussed the parking lot and false . <br /> alarm ordinances with Ruth Welch of Apache Plaza. She agreed to <br /> distribute copies of the ordinances to store managers . <br /> Chief Hickerson .also discussed the outstanding warrants list of <br /> persons in St. Anthony ' s zip codes (55418 and 55421) . He stated two <br /> arrests have already been made as a result of this list. <br /> Carol Johnson- said she anticipates only 4 budget transfers for <br /> end-of-year. She listed those . as two in the Sewer Fund, one in <br /> the Water Fund and one in the General Fund. She felt there might <br /> have to be a transfer for the Legal Fund, but t:iat' s only a possibility . <br /> Mr. Childs mentioned that St. Anthony will be on�2 of very few <br /> municipalities to have a balanced budget and congratulated the <br /> Department Heads of their astuteness in obtaining this goal . <br /> Ray Nelson announced that profits for, 1981 have increased over. 1980 , <br /> making it another record year for the liquor operations . <br /> Dave Childs informed those present he had received the appraisals <br /> on properties for a liquor store. <br /> • Mr. Childs then listed the numerous resolutions presented to the <br /> Council the first meeting. each year, i .e. , legal newspaper, Mayor <br /> Pro Tem, designation of City Attorney , etc. ) . <br />
