Members May 18, 1983 <br /> Bloomington <br /> Brooklyn center Members of the Suburban Rate Authority: <br /> Brooklyn Park <br /> BurnsviZZe <br /> Champlin For the past several months -a committee of the Suburban Rate Authority <br /> columbia_Reights has been working with Minnegasco to produce a revision of the Suburban <br /> Deephaven Rate Authority Uniform Gas Franchise. At its. April 20 Board meeting <br /> Eden Prazrze the SRA Board of Directors approved a model ordinance. A copy is <br /> Excelsior enclosed. <br /> FridZey <br /> Greenwood We expect that Minnegasco will accept the SRA model. The Board encour- <br /> ages each city in which Minriegasco requires a franchise to use the SRA <br /> Lakeland model , either presently or when a current franchise expires. Minnegasco <br /> Lake St.Lroix Beach <br /> auderdale has expressed. a willingness to consider surrendering its present fran- <br /> Loretto chise in favor of the SRA Uniform Franchise in those cities in which <br /> ,%-nZe PZain the present franchises have a number of years to run. All cities are <br /> '.'a�lewood encouraged to include the uniform expiration date of June 30, 2003 in <br /> 1derdota Heights <br /> Minnetonka their new franchises to provide for a joint renegotiation at that time. <br /> A,inne trio ta <br /> ,%ound The benefits of a uniform franchise have long been recognized. The <br /> Mounds View <br /> Now Brichton enclosed uniform franchise is quite similar to the original SRA Uniform <br /> forth St. PauZ Franchise, negotiated over twenty years ago. SRA attorneys have previ-/ <br /> . osaeo ously sent each member a memorandum comparing the enclosed draft with ° A7 <br /> Plumouth <br /> Rich eZa t_ e minnegasco proposal. If that is not readily available, a copy will <br /> Fo sdale be sent to you on request . <br /> ?oseviZle <br /> St. Ant;-ony The enclosure contains some changes from the draft sent to you with the <br /> St. Louis Park o y <br /> Shakopee earlier memorandum.
