J <br /> Total cost for the. municipal.ity, including all equipment and labor, will <br /> be $1806 per siren if purchased during the first-year, and- $1980 per. -siren <br /> if purchased during the second-year. Federal reimbursement for 50% .of <br /> these costs is assured; and there is a possibility of up to 25%. State <br /> reimbursement. <br /> Equipment operational capabilities include: <br /> (1) Simultaneous activation of all sirens in Hennepin County. <br /> (2) Simultaneous activation of all sirens within any desired <br /> rou ' of Hennepin County municipalities . <br /> (3) Simultaneous activation of all sirens within any of six (6) <br /> predesignated groups of Hennepin County muncipalities. <br /> (4) Simultaneous activation of all sirens within any one <br /> muncipality in Hennepin County. <br /> (5) Activation of any one individual siren. <br /> (6) A two-way system that provides a computer generated display <br /> on a "CRT" and a printout, at the County Warning Point <br /> after each siren activation or test.. <br /> (7) A silent test of the system that on command a test signal can <br /> be sent to each siren and a return signal received and <br /> displayed on the CRT and a printout indicating the system is <br /> ready to sound the siren on the correct command. <br /> A full 12 month warranty for all equipment will be provided that commences on <br /> the date the equipment was first placed into satisfactory operation. All <br /> equipment will be installed by the contractor, Healy-Ruff. <br /> If your community wishes to commit calendar year 1984 funds., we suggest <br /> that you immediately contact Robert C. Operational criteria and procedures for the new system are <br /> yet to be established. Local input will be sought by the Advisory Committee <br /> in developing the criteria and procedures. <br />
