Childs, City Manager <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT: The attached Management letter from Adrian <br /> He geson ✓; Co. spelTs out several comments which staff addresses herein . <br /> 1 . General Fixed Assets . Staff is working with Adrian Helgeson b Co. to prepare the <br /> necessary ledgers by December 31 , 1984 so that this exception can be removed <br /> from future audits . <br /> 2. Segregation of Duties. This is an annual reminder which the auditors acknowledge <br /> we are handling as well as possible with the number of employees the City has . <br /> 3. Housing and Redevelopment Authority. A separate checking account has been <br /> established for H.R.A. funds . <br /> 4. Inventory . Changes as recommended have been made and better training has been <br /> provided to inventory workers . <br /> 5. Journal Entries . Complete explanations are now provided. <br /> 6. Resolutions . Better explanations are being provided with budget resolutions . <br /> 7. Other' Matters . Rate increases have helped the water and sewer funds , but they <br /> should be monitored. <br /> The liquor fund transfer for 1985 is budgeted at $325,000 .
