11!MORAN -M <br /> • DATE: June 8, 1988 <br /> TO Dave Childs, City Manager <br /> Department Heads <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin <br /> ITEM: STAFF MEETING NOTES - JUNE 7 , 1988 <br /> The meeting began at 1: 15 P.M. Present were: Carol Johnson, Dave <br /> Childs, Larry Hamer, Don Hickerson, Ray Nelson, Lee Entner, and <br /> Connie Kroeplin. <br /> Carol Johnson <br /> 1 . Some of the changes relating to Mrs. Johnson's signature as <br /> either Finance Director or City Clerk were discussed, i.e. , <br /> resolutions, minutes, checks, etc. <br /> 2. Training for the new voting machines is being scheduled and <br /> will be held at the North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn <br /> Park. Ms. Johnson, who will be running the elections for the City <br /> again this year with Mr. Hamer, would like at least one judge from <br /> • each precinct and any office personnel who can, to attend the <br /> demonstration/training meetings. She hopes the City will have a <br /> demonstrator machine set up in the City offices by mid-June. <br /> 3 . Mrs. Johnson again thanked everyone who helped make her <br /> retirement party so successful and memorable for her. <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> 1 . There are now 30 Neighborhood Crime Watch groups -in St. <br /> Anthony. <br /> 2. The Police Reserves issued warnings to 9 persons on Friday and <br /> 15 on Saturday regarding the sprinkling ban. <br /> 3 . The vehicle which had been illegally- parked at Mickey D's was <br /> removed by the owner. <br /> 4. Police did 4 radar checks on Fordham Drive and found no one <br /> going over 30 mph. Mr. Hamer indicated his department had done a <br /> traffic count of that area also. <br /> 5. Mr. Childs asked Chief Hickerson how he felt about the fees <br /> charged to alarm users.
