STAFF MEETING NOTES <br /> FEBRUARY 7. 1989 <br /> The meeting began at 10:05 A.M. Those present were Ray Nelson, <br /> Dave Childs, Connie Kroeplin, Larry Hamer, Sue VanderHeyden, Don <br /> Hickerson and Lee Entner. <br /> Bay Nelson <br /> 1. Mr. Nelson is still waiting to hear from Dennis Cavanaugh <br /> (C. G. Rein Co. ) regarding space at Apache. <br /> 2. Both he and Ms. VanderHeyden are checking with different <br /> sign- companies regarding_ signage at the. Stonehouse. <br /> Don Hickerson <br /> 1. The 33rd neighborhood to join in the Crime Watch program was <br /> established last night (February 6th) . <br /> 2. The Police Reserves worked at the St. Charles Mardi Gras. <br /> They also attended the VillageFest meeting the previous <br /> evening. <br /> 3 . The 1989. animal control contract will be included in the <br /> • Council's February 14th meeting. Staff recommends approval. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> 1. Two fire reserves also attended the VillageFest meeting. <br /> 2. Briefly discussed- signage for the Fire Department and the <br /> progress of the remodeling. <br /> Sue VanderHeyden <br /> 1. The public pay telephone has been removed from the hallway <br /> and placed on the outside of the building at the entrance to <br /> the Police Department. <br /> 2. Many items were discussed and decided at the VillageFest <br /> meeting. About 17 people attended. <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1. The St. Anthony Shopping Center will be leveled soon. <br /> 2. New construction at the Salvation Army Camp is expected to <br /> begin in a short time. <br /> • 3. The portion of the work being done by the Public Works at <br /> the Fire Station will be finished by the end of this week. <br />
