Since that time, it was decided to <br /> install handicapped access where the existing driveways are located. <br /> This addition increased the bid. <br /> The following bids were received: <br /> Northern N $36,296.00 <br /> Thomas & Sons $27 ,337.50 <br /> Tom Co. $29,947.50 <br /> Gunderson Brothers $30,974 .00 <br /> Standard Sidewalk $21,355.00 <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Award the Kenzie Terrace Sidewalk project bid to the lowegst bidder, <br /> Standard Sidewalk for $21 .355.00. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> The sidewalk project was to be funded in part by .reprogrammed CDBG funds <br /> from the rehabilitation program. However, an application for - the <br /> rehabilitation funds was received by the CDBG Planning office and <br /> processed. Therefore, the funds should remain for rehabilitation and <br /> a possible reprogramming of recodification funds done. Recodification <br /> will not begin until late this year with completion after next year's <br /> CDBG funds have been allocated making it possible to pay for the <br /> recodification at that time. <br /> The Hennepin County CDBG staff has recommended that St. Anthony make the <br /> sidewalk project a Year XIV (1988) and Year XV (1989) project with <br /> recodificatio being started in Year XV (1989) and completed in Year XVI <br /> (1990) . <br /> A public hearing and resolution will be considered at the August 22, <br /> 1989, City Council meeting. <br /> If the Council does not wish to fund the sidewalk project in this <br /> manner, funds from the general reserve could be utilized. <br />
