Planning Commission Meeting <br /> April 17, 1990 <br /> Page 17 <br /> 1 Mr. Burt advised that the gas storage tanks had been removed when <br /> 2 the Clark Station on 33rd Avenue had closed in 1987 . He also reported <br /> 3 the florist who had been interested in the property now owned by Mr. <br /> 4 Fisher was no longer interested but he anticipated that as soon as the <br /> 5 property owner got another prospect he ' d be back to the City with it . <br /> 6 The City Manager indicated he was still trying to find out who owned <br /> 7 the 40 foot lot next to Mr. Fisher ' s <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Ms. VanderHeyden indicated that as far as she knew the underground <br /> 10 tanks next the Kenzington were still being monitored . Staff agreed to <br /> 11 research the progress as well as the removal of the trash sitting <br /> 12 outside the Kensington apartments . <br /> 13 <br /> 13 Imo• Burt told Commissioner Madden the H.R. A. would be meeting with <br /> 14 the LaNel Company representatives regarding the pedestrian ramp across <br /> 15 Kenzie Terrace which would be constructed in the median cut in the drive <br /> 16 way next to Autu.mnwoods Apartments Building C. He said the H.R.A. was <br /> 17 prepared to pick up the tab for the ramp in exchange for the developers <br /> 18 granting all the easements the City has requested and addrssed appropriate <br /> 19 grading for the apartment property. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 The City Manager indicated the banner Video Update was carrying to ad- <br /> 22 vertise lottery ticket sales as well as other simialar banners around <br /> 23 town fell under the temporary signage classification in the City Ordinance <br /> 24 which would have to be removed after a short period . This brought to <br /> 25 mind the flashing sign which the video store had been, forced to remove <br /> 26 from its windows which then reminded other Commissioners of illegal <br /> 27 flashing signs at the Crown Shoe Store in Apache and ,the display of <br /> 28 lighted Christmas tree lights around the window in the paint store <br /> 29 in the St . Anthony Shopping Center. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Staff agreed to look into the advertising propped up on a two wheel traile <br /> 32 parked in front of the Northgate Office Park. Commissioner Wagner <br /> - 33 commented that the Burlington Northern Credit Union sign on which the <br /> 34 Commission had been overruled was "getting bigger and worse all the time. " <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Before adjournment Mr. McNulty suggested the need for another step <br /> 37 in the review of property changes like the one which was occuring next <br /> 38 to him so matters won ' t get as far as they did the next time. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 ADJOURNMENT <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Motion by Hansen, seconded by Faust to adjourn at 10: 35 P.
