AMENDMENT TO APACHE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AND TAX INCREMENT <br /> 30 FINANCING PLAN FOR 3901 AND 3909 SILVER LAKE ROAD (H.R.A. <br /> 31 RESOLUTION NO. 1993-002 ) <br /> 32 <br /> 33 The Executive Director reviewed what this amendment would do <br /> 34 for the redevelopment which is planned for these two lots . <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Ruth Nelson, 3916 Macalaster Drive, felt a townhouse <br /> 37 development would be preferable for this area rather than the <br /> 38 proposed dental office building. She was of the opinion that <br /> 39 a residential nature should be maintained on the parcels . <br /> 40 <br /> 41 The City Manager noted that the area had been zoned <br /> 42 commercially for a very long time . He also suggested that the <br /> 43 owner of the parcels would not agree to downzoning to <br /> 44 accommodate a residential development . Downzoning would drop <br /> 45 the value of the parcels . Commissioner Enrooth felt a one <br /> 46 story building such as the one which is being proposed would <br /> 47 serve as a good transition from the commercial development. <br /> 48 across the street . <br /> 49 <br /> 50 Mrs .
