CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • RESOLUTION 96-058 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br /> AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on July 9, 1996, the <br /> engineering firm of Rieke Carroll Muller and Associates has prepared plans <br /> and specifications for the improvement of Roosevelt Street, between 35th <br /> Avenue NE and 37th Avenue NE; and, 35th Avenue NE, between Stinson <br /> Boulevard and Harding Street by reconstruction of the roadways and <br /> utilities. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br /> that: <br /> 1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the <br /> feasibility report. <br /> 2) Such plans and specifications are hereby approved. <br /> S 3) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the <br /> official paper and in the Construction Bulletin,,ad advertisement for bids upon the <br /> making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The <br /> advertisement shall be published for two times, shall specify the work to be done, <br /> shall state that bids will be opened on December 17, 1996, and bids the <br /> responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on <br /> February 11, 1996, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose <br /> responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an <br /> opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be <br /> considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash <br /> deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of St. <br /> Anthony for Five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> Adopted this day of , 1996. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Reviewed for administration: <br /> City Manager <br />
