Planning Commission Representative to the November 26, 1996 Council Meeting <br /> will be Rosemary Franzese. <br /> 2. Public Hearings. <br /> a. Conditional Use Permit, Milliam-Magnuson VFW (96-018 — Withdrawn per <br /> the request of Mr. Hanlon during a telephone conversation he had with Staff <br /> on 11/15%96. A letter was sent to him confirming his request. <br /> b. Lot Width Variance for 3216 - 32nd Avenue NE (96-019 — Tom Brama, the <br /> • interested buyer appeared.before the Planning Commission. The Planning <br /> Commission approved his variance request. <br /> 3. Other Business. <br /> a. Review of proposed amendment to the OPUS Sign Plan for Cub Foods <br /> Store. No one showed up but the Planning Commission decided to discuss <br /> the request. They approved the amendment, but they had reservations. See <br /> attached memo. <br /> b. Review of the Amendment to Chapter 16 regarding Setback Requirements. <br /> The Planning Commission reviewed the amendment to the Ordinance as <br /> proposed by Bill Soth. They agreed with the intent but asked if the <br /> amendment could incorporate the definition of a shopping center as it is <br /> stated in Chapter 14. Staff was asked to speak with Mr. Soth. . <br /> 4. Comments. <br /> a. Comprehensive Update Task Force. The following Planning Commission <br /> members will be on the Task Force: Bergstrom, Horst, Franzese and <br /> Delmonico. With regard to representatives from the various civic and <br /> religious organizations, they want to send a letter informing them of the task <br /> force and inviting them to attend the meetings. The Commissioners want to <br /> involve as many potential representatives so it doesn't appear that <br /> • representatives are "hand picked". <br />
