He
11 reviewed their consideration of this request for a variance to replace a business sign at the
12 Murphy's Service Center gas station located at 3501 - 29th Avenue NE, and
13 recommendation for approval as the criteria for a variance consideration exist.
14 Motion by Horst to approve Resolution 00-071, a Resolution Relating to a Request for a
15 Sign Variance for 3501 - 29th'Avenue NE.
6 Mayor Cavanaugh asked if this sign will be lit with flood lights 24-hours a day. Richard
7 Graff, applicant, stated the new sign will be lit from the interior 24-hours a day as it will
18 provide a measure of security. Mr.-Mornson suggested Mr. Bergstrom present all three cases
25 and then the issues can be-considered separately.
26 Mr. Bergstrom reviewed for the Council that the first consideration related to replatting
27 the property from two lots into three lots to expand the Animal Clinic lot, decrease the
28 Industrial Custom Products lot, and create a new lot on the other side of the Industrial
29 Custom Products lot. He presented a map to better explain the new lot configurations. .
30 Mr. Bergstrom stated Mr. Hubmer determined the utility line on the east side would
31 benefit from a dedicated City easement.and a 10 foot easement will be created for the
32 City between Lots 1 and 2. The Planning Commission recommends approval subject to
33 two conditions relating to the easements.
