The next mailing and public meeting
will occur in November.
VII. Silver Point Park
a
To prepare the park for the future Silver Point Park building, and to address some
issues within the baseball, hockey and skating areas, it is proposed that grading of
Silver Point Park be completed this fall. Attached is the proposed plan for grading at
Silver Point Park. Also, attached for your consideration is a change order to the
• 2001 Street project to complete the grading in Silver Point Park.
The proposed grading improvements were presented to the parks Commission at
their October meeting. We have also met with the park building designer to
incorporate the building location, utility needs and building pad elevations into the
proposed grading improvements. To minimize the time needed to establish turf
within Silver Point Park it is recommended that skating not be provided in Silver
Point Park this winter. Alternate skating facilities are located at Emerald Park and
Sandcastle Park in Roseville.
I will be present at the October 23, 2001 Council meeting to discuss these projects and to
answer any questions you may have, or please feel free to call me at (763) 287-7182.
Sincerely,
WSB & Associates, Inc.
Todd Hubmer, P.E.
Project Manager
• co/nm/co
F.IWPWBA1065-011101801 hmmdoc
