40 <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: July 18, 2002 <br /> TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br /> FROM: Michael Mornson, City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: CITY MANAGER'S REPORT FOR JULY 23, 2002 <br /> 1. Painting is completed on signal intersection. We received several compliments. <br /> 2. We are receiving applicants for the Fire/Public Works Task Force. The deadline is <br /> August 5 and the first meeting will be held September 3. <br /> 3. Construction 70 will probably present a preliminary development agreement to Council <br /> on September 10 relating to the Stonehouse property. <br /> 4. The Joint City/School District meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30 at 6:00 PM (see <br /> attached agenda). <br /> 5. The Council Work Session on Monday, August 5 will start at 7:00 pm. Discussion will be <br /> on: <br /> a. Financial strategies with Jim Prosser(Ehler's last meeting with Council). <br /> b. Presentation of the 2003 City budget. <br /> 6. Application for a Livable Community grant in the amount of approximately$4 million <br /> has been submitted to the Metropolitan Council. A resolution will be presented to the <br /> Council in August. <br /> 7. Northwest Youth & Family Services will present a report on August 26. <br /> 8. Planning meetings for the Salvation Army site are scheduled for every 2 weeks. <br />
