• <br /> n <br /> it <br /> PRO CLAMA TION <br /> WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch (NAM is sponsoring a unique, <br /> nationwide crime and drug prevention program on August 3, 2004, called <br /> "National Night Out", and <br /> WHEREAS, the "21st Annual National Night Out"provides a unique opportunity for St. <br /> Anthony to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in <br /> promoting cooperative,police-community crime and drug prevention efforts; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony plays a vital role in assisting the St. Anthony Police <br /> Department through joint crime and drug prevention efforts in St. Anthony and is <br /> supporting "National Night Out 2004"locally; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of the City of St. Anthony be aware of the <br /> importance of crime prevention programs and impact that their participation can <br /> have on reducing crime and drug abuse in the City of St. Anthony; and <br /> WHEREAS, police-community partnerships and neighborhood safety and awareness and <br /> cooperation are important themes of the "National Night Out"program. <br /> OW, THEREFORE, we, the St. Anthony City Council, do hereby call upon all citizens of the <br /> City of St. Anthony to join the St. Anthony Police Department and the National Association of <br /> Town Watch in supporting "21st Annual National Night Out"on August 3, 2004. <br /> URTHER, LET IT BE RESOL VED, THAT WE, THE ST.
