ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br />;� • November 22 , 1983 <br /> s; <br /> The meeting was opened at 7 : 30 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance led <br /> by Mayor Sundland. <br /> Present for roll call : Plarks , Ranallo, Sundland, and Enrooth. <br /> 1� <br /> i <br /> Absent : Letourneau. <br /> Also present: David Childs, City Manager; and Judy Plakowske , <br />,d <br /> Councilman-elect. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> x approve as submitted the minutes of the Council meeting held November <br /> 8, 1983 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to grant <br /> a starting and towing license to Murphy Service Center , Inc. , 3501 <br /> 29th Avenue N.E.. , in accordance with the license application distri- <br /> buted by the City Manager. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously . <br /> 3 <br /> Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to <br /> approve payment of $1 , 514 . 10 to Ed Hance for the October prosecutions . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Motion by Councilman Plarks and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> continue the tradition of cancelling the meeting which falls between <br /> Christmas and New Years, December 27, 1983 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Councilmen Enrooth and Marks were directed to meet with Mr. Childs for <br /> a preliminary review of the City Manager' s contract which is up for <br /> renewal the first of the year. The full Council will act on the <br /> contract during a special work session sometime after the Committee <br /> meets . <br /> Councilman .Letourneau arrived at 7 : 35 P.M. <br /> Councilman Ranallo reported he had been appointed to serve as vice <br /> chairman of the group who are doing the preliminary planning for the <br /> League of Minnesota Cities convention in Duluth in June . One of the <br /> seminars which is being considered , is one suggested by the Association <br /> • of -.City Managers which .would present a mock employment interview for <br /> major municipal staff positions . The managers ' group agreed such <br /> information to be necessary because they had concluded many serious <br />
