-3- <br /> The notices regarding the November 28th hearing on the selection and <br /> ipurchase of the West Riverbank site for a solid waste resource re- <br /> covery facility and the openings on various state boards and advisory <br /> councils which was submitted by the * League were noted and ordered <br /> filed as informational. <br /> j Mr. Childs reported there would be two openings on the Planning <br /> Commission in 1984 , one vacated by Mrs . Makowske when she was elected <br /> to the Council, and the other now held by Commissioner Jones who <br /> a has indicated he would like to be reappointed to continue his service . <br /> The Manager said he would have the Bulletin publicize the Commission <br /> opening as well as the cutoff date of December 15th for applications <br /> 1 and would notify by mail all persons who had previously indicated an <br /> interest in serving that the vacancy exists . The new Commission <br /> member would be selected by the Council during a work session to be <br /> scheduled sometime prior to the January 10th Council meeting. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to <br /> accept the quote of $1 ,000 from Layne Minnesota to pull Well #2 for <br /> capping, as recommended by the State Health Department , and to sup- <br /> port the Public Works Director ' s efforts to sell the well motor and <br /> pump to some other small community which might have use for them. <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Motion by Councilman Enrooth and seconded by Councilman Letourneau <br /> to adjourn the meeting at 8 : 07 P.M. for a meeting of the Housing and <br /> Redevelopment Authority. <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Helen Crowe , Secretary <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br />
