Kiwanis Convention <br /> 13 Mayor Sundland gave his own insights about the above convention he had _ <br /> 14 attended as a delegate the previous week. He said there .had been 5,700 <br /> 15 delegates present and one of the accomplishments of the meetings had <br /> 16 been to open the organization_ to membership by women. The Mayor <br /> 17 described the tightly regulated .voting processes and explained the <br /> 18 problems the representatives of some states had with their own charters <br /> related to the extension of membership. <br /> 20 DEPARTMENTS AND COMMITTEES <br /> 21 The following were noted and ordered filed -as informational: <br /> 22 *Report from the Edward J. Hance law firm on matters conducted at the <br /> 23 Hennepin County District Court on June 17 , 1987 , in which they <br /> 24 represented St. Anthony as Prosecutor; <br /> 25 *June Fire Department Report; <br /> 26 *June Liquor Operations Sales Summary. <br /> 27 CITY MANAGER <br /> 28 There were no questions related to the July 7th staff meeting notes. <br /> 29 Personnel Decisions Selected to Assist the City in Completing. Its , <br /> 30 Comparable Worth Study <br /> 31 Mr. Childs had distributed the proposals for the above study.-which had <br /> 32 been submitted by Personnel Decisions, Inc. and Arthur Young and gave <br /> 33 his reasons for accepting the former.. He said telephone calls to both <br /> 34 firms had reaffirmed that Personnel was proposing to provide the service <br /> Wfor $1 , 800 while it would cost the City between $4,800 and $5,400 to <br /> have the Young Company help the City .with its study.
