r � <br /> • <br /> 6. INSTALLATION <br /> a. There are 3 rows of SGR-8961 extruded aluminum channels embedded in <br /> the background, 13" inches center to center running the full length of <br /> the sign area. <br /> b. The letters are to be attached to those channels using SGR-8960 snap- <br /> in clips furnished by the sign contractor. (Except for the letter I, <br /> all letters shall have a minimum of three clips, although more clips <br /> may be required, depending upon the size of the letter.) <br /> c. No letter attachment holes through the SGR-8961 channels and no <br /> welding to those channels will be permitted. <br /> 7. ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> a. Letter shall be internally illuminated with neon tubing, 15 VIM, or <br /> 13!:4 using 30 YA transformers. <br /> b. The required transformers shall be mounted on the back side of the <br /> • fascia directly behind the letter and housed in a sheet metal box 0" <br /> X I" X 16". The secondary wiring (GTO-15) running from the <br /> transformer to a letter will be contained in 1/2 OD flexible vinyl <br /> tubing with no less than .060 inch wall thickness. That tubing shall <br /> be mechanically fastened to both the transformer box and the back of <br /> the letter track, by the use of Thomas and Betts 3/8 inch squeeze type <br /> connector #253, or equal. <br /> C. No holes shall be drilled in the SGR-8961 channel for any purpose <br /> except for running secondary Miring from the letter to the <br /> transformer. Those holes shall be 7/8 inches in diameter in order <br /> that, at a later date, they may be plugged with a standard snapin <br /> blank for 1/2 inch knock outs, Appleton #S50 or equal. <br /> e. NO PENETRATIONS OF ATTACHMENTS IN THE FINISHED FASCIA SURFACE WILL BE <br /> PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. <br /> 8. - APPROVAL <br /> Tenant shall submit two (2) drawings to the Lessor for written approval, <br /> prior to the fabrication of any sign. Lessor must also approve Tenant's <br /> Sign Contractor as having previously met the criteria for performing <br /> acceptable job standards over a period of not less than three years to <br /> assure compliance with our specifications. Any construction accomplished <br /> by the Tenant or Sign Contractor, without having the Lessor's written <br /> approval and not in compliance with these specifications will be done at <br /> • the Tenant's own risk. Tenants are free - to select any Sign Contractor <br /> they choose, subject to Lessor's approval. Lessor suggests that Tenants <br /> select Sign Contractors willing to give acceptable warranties on their <br /> work. <br />
