STAFF REPORT <br /> • <br /> DATE: May 12, 1993 <br /> TO: Planning Commission <br /> FROM: David Mark Urbia, Management Assistant <br /> ITEM: DISCUSSION OF KENZIE TERRACE AREA <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Planning Commission has requested to know the City's direction for future redevelopment <br /> in this area. Additionally, current events could possibly lead to opportunities to facilitate <br /> appropriate redevelopment. With these conditions, it is appropriate for the Planning <br /> Commission to begin discussion of this area. <br /> I have provided some information that should be useful in this discussion. If you need <br /> additional information prior to the meeting, please call on Monday (5/17) or early Tuesday <br /> (5/18) so that I can attempt to accomodate your request. <br /> If you wish to review the Comprehensive Plan; Kenzie Terrace Study Area, please let me <br /> know. <br /> The information provided includes: <br /> ► Copy of Comprehensive Plan; Land Use Map, figure 10. <br /> ► Copy of Plat Map with ownership information. <br /> Some current information: <br /> - i ► Bowling-alley for'sale (Parcel B) _ <br /> ► META triangle now owned by RTB, appraiser contacted me to inquire about <br /> permitted uses. From this call, I assume the RTB will sell once the appraisal is <br /> complete. <br /> ► I have heard that the Kenzington Board is considering buying this triangle for <br /> overflow parking purposes. <br /> ► St. Anthony Shopping Center officials wish to invest into center for additional <br /> improvements. <br /> ► Kentucky Fried Chicken may close if new KFC is built as result of Cub Food <br /> i project. <br /> ► Tollefson property (Parcel x) for sale, owner made proposal to City for the <br /> amount of $30,000. <br /> ► Lowry Grove Mobil Home Park connected to City water, property not for sale <br /> in immediate future. <br /> • ► Parcel y owned by St. Anthony National Bank. <br /> ► Parcel z owned by KFC National Management Company. <br />
