The shelter at <br /> the north end of the play field provides weather protection for play field and <br /> Nature Preserve users, and a small group picnic site away from the camp core. <br /> The open grassland dividing the Nature Preserve from the Special Program Use <br /> 9 9 P 9 <br /> zone would be more attractive if restored to it's original natural condition. <br /> Seeding with native Minnesota grasses and wildflowers would provide an <br /> educational setting in harmony with the camp's location and ecological history. <br /> Little mowing would be necessary. Similarly, other bluegrass areas can be j <br /> restored to prairie, reducing mowing costs 20% or more. <br /> 30 <br />
