• ORDINANCE 19-8:2-0.0.1 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CERTAIN ALARMS; <br /> REQUIRING ALARM USERS TO OBTAIN LICENSES ; <br /> PROVIDING FOR ISSUANCE OF LICENSES AND REVOCATION <br /> THEREOF; PROHIBITING CERTAIN INTERCONNECTIONS AND <br /> AUTOMATIC DIALING PRACTICES; AND ALLOCATING EXPENSES <br /> FOR FALSE ALARMS ; AMENDING CHAPTER IV OF THE 1973 <br /> CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING A SECTION. <br /> THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Chapter IV of the 1973 Code of Ordinances is <br /> amended to add a section to read as follows : <br /> 450 Alarms <br /> 450 : 00 Title . This ordinance shall be known as the <br /> "Alarm Ordinance". <br /> 450 : 05 Purpose and Scope. The purpose of this ordinance <br /> is to protect the public safety and to avoid misuse and <br /> careless or negligent operation of certain alarms. <br /> • 450: 10 Definitions. For purposes of this ordinance, the <br /> following terms shall have the meanings set forth in this <br /> section: <br /> a. Alarm. - means a mechanical , electrical or <br /> electronic device designed to detect unauthorized <br /> entry, but excluding such a device affixed to a <br /> motor vehicle or installed in a single family . <br /> dwelling by the owner of the dwelling. <br /> b. Alarm. Business. - means any person engaged in <br /> selling, leasing , maintaining, servicing, <br /> repairing, altering, replacing , moving, <br /> installing or monitoring any alarm for another <br /> person for a fee, price or other consideration. <br /> C. Alarm. Agent . - means a person employed by or <br /> contracting with an alarm business , either <br /> directly or indirectly, whose duties include. <br /> selling, maintaining, leasing, servicing, <br /> repairing , altering, replacing, moving or <br /> installing any alarm. <br />
