-4- <br /> During a brief discussion of a possible new liquor operations loca- <br /> tion, Commissioner Jones indicated he believed the City should start <br /> now to try to acquire the property on the northwest corner of Silver <br /> Lake Road and 37th Avenue N. E. for a "bottle shop only" since he does <br /> not believe there would be adequate parking spaces for both an on and <br /> off sale facility in that area. Commissioner Zawislak indicated he <br /> believes the expertise of the liquor manager should be relied on for <br /> making that decision, .but the Manager said the usual practice would <br /> be followed of having staff .present several alternatives for Council <br /> consideration. The Chair suggested each Commissioner should write <br /> down all their suggestions for the plan for consideration as each <br /> project is discussed. <br /> She told the Manager she was very pleased to have the listing of <br /> variances and conditional use permits which were brought before the <br /> Commission during 1981 and 1982 included in the agenda packet. <br /> Mr. Childs requested that the Commissioners let him know whether there <br /> were other points of interest about each action which should be <br /> recorded. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Jones and seconded by Commissioner Wagner to <br /> adjourn the meeting at 9 :05 P.M. <br /> Motion carried unanimously . <br /> Respectfully submitted , • <br /> Helen Crowe , Secretary <br />
