-2- <br /> Conferences and Regional Meetings <br /> The League brings together local officials around topics of timely <br /> interest and provides expertise from outside sources and from the <br /> League staff on a regular schedule. <br /> Field Representative <br /> The LMC Field Representative visits member cities on a regular <br /> basis. These visits provide needed opportunities for League staff <br /> and local officials to share information and concerns on mat'ters <br /> affecting each city. <br /> Publications <br /> Includes the League monthly magazine, Minnesota Cities, and the <br /> weekly LMC Legislative Bulletin, during legislative sessions, <br /> plus some 600 updated memoranda on ordinances, licensing, fire <br /> and building codes, 'election procedures, budgeting, contracting, <br /> etc. <br /> We hope that you will. continue your active participation on behalf of your . <br /> city's .interests And in pursuit of improvements in city government. <br /> This 'is the seventieth anniversary year for the League of Minnesota Cities, a ' <br /> time at which we look forward to strengthening the working partnership of <br /> Minnesota cities and to an increase in the effectiveness of the League as a <br /> representative of cities at the state -level. <br /> With almost three-quarters of a century of experience to guide us, the League <br /> offers a unique forum for cities to -address common problems and to resolve <br /> their differences. I urge you to continue your membership for the next year <br /> or to rejoin in case your city was not a member in 1982. We are weaker when <br /> we work apart.
