Childs, City Manager <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> SUMMARY DISCUSSION OF SUBJECT: This is a request for a variance to raise the <br /> Twin City Federal sign at 3899 Silver Lake Road by 2 feet 2 inches to identify the <br /> 24 hour teller. As noted in the minutes of the Planning Commission, this request <br /> was recommended for denial for several reasons, one of the most important of which <br /> is the failure of the applicant to attend the hearing . A call to American Signs, the <br /> manufacturer of the sign , showed that a mix up between their office and Leroy <br /> Signs , the installer, occurred and they apologized for not having a representative <br /> present. Questioning about the items checked on the application form showed that <br /> a possible misunderstanding about the meaning of the questions asked (double <br /> negative in ,#1 ) . The applicant will be present to explain these items and the <br /> • attached information is available for your review. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> ALTERNATIVES : <br /> 1 . Deny the request based on the Planning Commission report . <br /> 2.
