ANTHONY CHEMICAL ABUSE INFORMATION COMMITTEE <br /> November 15, 1983 <br /> High School Library- 7:00 p.m. <br /> Present: Karen Thoresen-Quinn, George Marks, Don Hickerson, Glenn Seefeldt, <br /> Barb Malrick, Pat Beaubien, Jan Stroom, Tom Lindskog, Ron Taylor, Joe Malrick, <br /> Jean Klosterman and Evelyn Holthus.`- <br /> Minutes were read and approved. <br /> Treasurer's Report - $929.16 <br /> Old Business: <br /> 1. Chemical People Follow-up <br /> Nativity - Good Response <br /> St. Charles and Elmwood - Not Good <br /> Parents Group - Not Good Attendance <br /> 2. Evelyn has sent out evaluation forms to teachers regarding Chemical <br /> People. A discussion followed regarding effectiveness of the <br /> program. Evelyn will send a letter to hosts of meetings to see' <br /> what their plans .are and how we. may help them. . <br /> 3. Evelyn showed a copy of "Christian -Education Materials for Youth <br /> and Families: Alcohol- and Drugs." A motion was made and seconded <br /> to- send a copy to each of the local churches. Cost of each copy <br /> will be $6.95. _ <br /> 4. Detox - Evelyn reported on 20/20 Detox:- Further information is <br /> being obtained in order to forma policy of how to handle cases <br /> of intoxication in the future and how 20/20 may be used. <br /> 5. Y.S.B. Executive Committee - Evelyn and Jean. Evelyn attended <br /> meeting, and now suggests a community member attend in the future. <br /> George Marks will attend the next meeting. <br /> 6. Emergency .Cards - Phone numbers have been updated and cards'will <br /> be.reprinted. Barb will get 1000 cards printed.. <br /> 7. City Newsletter - Evelyn will prepare an article for insertion <br /> with the. next city newsletter issue, 3,500 copies will be required. <br /> New Business': <br /> 1. GOALS: School .Detox Policy (20/20 Detox) <br /> Emergency Cards <br /> SFollow-up and outreach on "Chemical People" <br /> Advisory service to Y.S.B. <br /> Sports/Kids/Drugs Program <br />
