Dave Childs , Lee Entner, Connie Kroeplin , <br /> Carol Johnson, and Larry Hamer were present . Ray Nelson and Don <br /> Hickerson were absent . <br /> q <br /> Three items concerning City personnel were noted. <br /> 1. Rick Pfeiffer will have knee surgery on Friday, November 9th . He <br /> will be recuperating at home for 2 to 3 weeks . Mr. Pfeiffer sustained <br /> the injury during a fire call on October 29th. <br /> �a <br /> tia <br /> O 2 . Officer Puffer will return to work Monday , November 12th. is <br /> 7 <br /> 3 . Elizabeth Anderson, who has been the Police Secretary for the past <br /> 1� years , has resigned. <br /> Carol Johnson indicated the elections had gone smoothly . She is now <br /> coordinating the Christmas party and expects to have the caterer and <br /> band soon. The party is to be held Sunday , December 2nd at the American <br /> Legion. <br /> Christmas Eve day is a Monday this year and it has been requested of t'r <br /> the City Manager that employees be allowed to have that day off if <br /> they work extra hours the previous week. The City Manager could see ;. <br /> no problem with this request which will apply to clerical and Public <br /> Works employees . : <br /> The tornado damaged house at 3333 Edward Street will be burned as a <br /> drill for the Fire Department, within the next few weeks , according to <br /> Chief Entner. <br /> Larry Hamer extended his thanks to the Fire Department for their <br /> assistance at Apache Plaza on election day . Several voters had become <br /> ill due to fumes . Mr. Hamer also discussed use of. the Council Chambers <br /> for activities not related to City functions . He pointed out that the <br /> room is utilized the majority of the time by organizations not _related <br /> to City activities -, while, the City rents the room. Also; there have <br /> Obeen occasions when the room was not put back in order after such use. <br /> r <br /> 6 <br />
