i M E M O . R A N D U M TO: Physical Improvement Task Force FROM: Wil Johnson, Chairman DATE: 8 October 1984 SUBJECT: Meeting at 4:30 p.m. 2 October 1984 at St. Anthony Village Hall 1 . The first meeting of the Physical Improvement Task Force was held as noted above for the purpose of planning the scope of our needs and conceptualizing on some possible solutions. 2. After a lengthy discussion regarding parameters to be addressed, it was agreed that the Task Force address street signage, either separately or as a part of the street identification signage and take a look at some street identification graphics that could be painted or applied to perimeter streets of the Village to reinforce boundary identification. 3. Look. at landscaping particular areas as they relate to primary and secondary entrances to the Village. • Landscaping and Lighting - Phase I a. The primary entrance to the Village is at Highway 88 and St. Anthony Boulevard. The entrance area can be defined as Trillium Park and the associated concrete paved islands and existing landscaped buffer between liquor store parking lot and St.- Anthony Boulevard. b. The secondary entrance to Village could be defined as the roadway between the corner of Stinson Boulevard and Lowry up to the intersection Kinsey Terrace and St. Anthony Boulevard and another secondary entrance "is Silver Lake Road from Silver Lane to 37th Avenue Northeast. C. The above areas consist of Phase I landscaping and lighting areas. Landscaping and Lighting - Phase II a. Central Park and neighborhood parks. b. Silver Lake Road pathway lighting (walking path) and several minor entrance areas to the Village such as 37th and Stinson, 37th and Highcrest, 33rd and Old Highway 8, St. Anthony Boulevard and 35W (Gross Golf Course) , and 29th Avenue at the • Roseville boundary.
