Liquor - July, 1989 Sales Summary <br /> 14 Mayor Sundland felt the figures for off-sale in Store #1 were good. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 <br /> 17 D. Acting City Manager <br /> 18- <br /> 19 Staff Meeting Notes August 15, 1989 <br /> 20 <br /> Larry Hamer felt costs for boulevard tree replacement will go over what <br /> 21 <br /> 22 had initially been anticipated. Councilmembers Makowske and Enrooth requested ti <br /> • �3 that the costs be prepared for the next Council meeting. <br /> 24 <br /> �5 The crosswalks have been painted: .Councilmember Marks expressed a "Thank <br /> 26 You" on the completion of this painting. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Well #3 is operating: It was noted that the odd/even system will be dis- <br /> �9 continued after Labor Day. <br /> 30 ' <br /> 31 Sign Ordinance Mailing Request: The Acting City Manager advised that to do a <br /> 32 mailing of the sign ordinance to all of the businesses -in the City would cost <br /> 33 approximately $1 ,000.00. Councilmember Marks suggested the Chamber of Commerce <br /> 34 may be interested in this project. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Permanent plant -bids: The Acting City Manager noted that the bids are scheduled <br /> 37 to go out the first or second week i.n September. Construction should start <br /> 38 in April 1990 with completion -targeted for the Spring of 1991'. She has nego- <br /> 39 tiated an extension through April 1991 on the temporary plat at no charge. Council- <br /> 40 member Ranallo inquired about the costs for changing the filters. The Acting <br /> 41 City Manager advised that all the monies are being included in the lawsuits. <br /> 42 She also has no current information regarding the City's recourse against <br /> 43 the EPA. Councilmember Ranallo felt these concerns should .be brought to <br /> 44 Senator Marty's attention for some assistance. He also requested that Briggs <br /> 45 and Morgan write a letter to the EPA regarding this situation and the lengthy <br /> 46 time it is taking for resolution. <br /> 47 <br /> • 48 Tax Increment Financing: Bob Thistle of Springsted wrote to advise the Council <br /> 49 of his interest in meeting to discuss Tax Increment Financing. A Council <br /> 50 work session has been scheduled for September 6th at 6:00 p.m. . <br />
