r � <br /> Section 1015:00 <br /> • Section 1015 - Animals Prohibited as Nuisances <br /> Section 1015:00. Certain Animals Declared Nuisances. No person shall keep <br /> .or allow to be kept within e corpora o his municipality any <br /> animal -or bird which shall by any noise disturb the peace and quiet of any <br /> other person. No person shall keep a dog or other animal which habitually <br /> barks or cries for extended or unreasonable periods of time, and any -such <br /> animal is declared to be a public nuisance. Any female dog in heat and at <br /> large or kept on premises to Which other dogs have free access is deemed a <br /> public nuisance subject to abatement by removal from this municipality or <br /> other disposal. Any cat or other animal which damages- plantings or structures <br /> or deposits fecal matter on private property, after the person owning or <br /> harboring the cat has been notified of such acts as herein provided, is hereby <br /> declared to be a nuisance. Any person aggrieved by an animal nuisance may <br /> make a written complaint to the Police Department, stating the acts <br /> complained of, the name and address of the person owning the animal, and <br /> the name and address of the person making the complaint. The Police <br /> Department shall then promptly notify the person�ovning the animal of the <br /> complaint and shall order the animal nuisance to be abated within a <br /> reasonable period of time. If such animal nuisance is not abated within <br /> the time period given, a charge may be made against its owner or keeper <br /> under the provisions of this code. <br /> Section 1015:05. Kee2ing of Certain Animals. No person shall keep swine, <br /> cattle, horses, goats,, more 'two dogs,, nor more than two fowl within <br /> the corporate limits of this municipality nearer than 500 feet to any human <br /> habitation or platted land without approval of the Council. The Council may, <br /> before approving or denying such request for approval, request a report from <br /> the Health Officer, concerning public health matters with respect to such <br /> request, for approval, prior to making its determination. <br /> Section 1015:10. Interference with Munioi 1 Personnel.
