Regular Council Meeting <br /> August 28, 1990 <br /> page 11 <br /> 1 of the City Council should be expected to go out and lobby for <br /> 2 the referendum. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Councilmember Enrooth felt this was the an implied expectation of <br /> 5 the School Board and he wondered why the Council should get involved <br /> u in the first place. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Councilmember Wagner felt this was not the intent of the School <br /> 9 Board members. The Mayor agreed and felt that Councilmembers <br /> 10 would be contacted individually for their support. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Councilmember Makowske felt members of the School Board had experienced <br /> 13 a real hardship by having members of the City Council stay away from <br /> 14 general meetings regarding the referendum and felt it was a real <br /> 15 courtesy for them to come to a Council work session. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Mayor Ranallo expressed his preference for the Finance Director to <br /> 18 address the referendum at a Council work session. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 A limitation of the time allotted for a presentation on the referendum <br /> 21 was preferred by sbme members of the Council . <br /> 22 <br /> �3 The City Manager will be attending the ICMA Conference the last week <br /> 24 of September and will not be in attendance at the September 25th <br /> 25 Council meeting. <br /> • 26 <br /> 27 9.
