i hou <br /> � <br /> Administrative Offices <br /> 3301 Silver Lake Road, St. Anthony, Minnesota 55418-1699 <br /> (612) 789-8881 FAX (612) 789-9602 <br /> P R O C L A M A T I O N <br /> WHEREAS, it has been reported that a seven billion <br /> dollar per year pornography industry has grown <br /> in our society; and <br /> WHEREAS, our Attorney General reports an increasing <br /> number of sexual assault cases--many of which <br /> involve children and pornography; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Supreme Court has reaffirmed the right of <br /> • the community to protect its standards; and <br /> WHEREAS, family and community values are being <br /> threatened by the pornography industry. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the City Council <br /> of the City of St. Anthony, hereby declare <br /> October 28 through November 4, 1990, as <br /> PORNOGRAPHY AWARENESS WEER <br /> and call upon our citizens to join with other <br /> Cities and Villages across the nation to aid in <br /> protecting our community standards. <br /> Mayor <br /> Date <br /> Clarence J.
